Average Days on Market for a Typical Dwelling

Mij Gibson Oct 12, 2020

The average time a typical dwelling spends on the market is 45 days Nationally. This was in the three months to September 2020 says the CoreLogic Pain and Gain report.

This is lower than the June quarter because of the strict social distancing that had slowed things down. But still higher than the March 2020 quarter with 44 days. This suggests demand has slowed, because of COVID-19 and its restrictions. Days on market around April was 30.

Properties took 36 days to sell across Sydney and 57 days in regional NSW over the September quarter.

This means you are likely to see a higher average waiting time before your property is sold.
