In 2011, my husband and I were fortunate enough to move to Porepunkah with our two very young children Grace and John to run Alpine Angus, a commercial Angus cattle stud. Through this move, I was given the opportunity to become the onsite manager for three high end luxury accommodation houses located on the farm and did this job for next 6 years. This job encompassed all what I was passionate about – People, Customer Service, Accommodation and Communication! With the arrival of Hannah in 2013, our family of 5 was complete and we were cemented in the belief we love this area and will never move!
Since then, I have worked steadily in both the Accommodation and Retail sectors in Bright often juggling 3 jobs at once. When the opportunity came up to realise my dream of a new career in real estate and work for Dickens Real Estate, I jumped at it!
Before children, I was a qualified Physical Education teacher for 7 years and then decided to have a career change and move into Corporate Sales and Account Management. Strive specialised in corporate reward and recognition and was a dynamic and fun office which I loved working for 10 years. The Dickens team is very much like my old Strive family so the decision to join the team was an easy one.
While I am not working, I am a mum taxi, ferrying children to various sporting events, activities, and playdates! I also enjoy walking most mornings before work and exploring this beautiful region with family and friends on my weekends. I have also been known to be the occasional farm hand for my husband, but he is definitely keen for me to keep my day job at Dickens.
