About Kim NguyenTran - Real Estate Agent
In 1985, when I was 3, my parents took my sister and I, and fled our home in Vietnam, in search for a better life. Against all odds, we braved through the turbulent waters of the Pacific Ocean in a small raft and escaped Vietnam. Eventually, we were welcomed into Australia, the land of freedom and opportunities.
Not wanting to waste the opportunities my parents have sacrificed for me, I grew up with a great emphasis on education and an even greater desire to help people. I graduated at the University of Melbourne in 2004 with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and soon after opened two physiotherapy practices with the mission to be significant to the people around me. Having led over 80 physios and support staff over many years, and having treated over thousands of clients from the young to the old, I came out of the Melbourne Covid lockdowns wanting to do something different.
Hence, I combined my two life long passions: helping people and real estate. I decided to pursue my new career as a real estate agent. I have identified many similarities in the two professions: the examination (asking quality questions to understand the situation); the diagnosis (ensuring that the correct affliction is being treated) and the prescription (providing strategies on how to solve the problem and implementing them effectively). As such, I was able to transfer my skill sets of active listening, effective communication, problem solving and delivering outcomes from physiotherapy to real estate.
With my wealth of life experience, my approach in working with clients in real estate is with
- Empathy - understanding their motivation and goals;
- Guidance - providing information and recommendations so that they make their own informed decisions;
- Collaborative - superior negotiation skills to ensure satisfaction from all parties and
- Resilience - handling obstacles and overcoming challenges to deliver results
As a mother of four, I understand the needs and demands of a young family. As a physiotherapist who worked in many aged care facilities, I know the reluctance of the elderly when they need to move to a suitable home as the house they call home for 30+ years is no longer safe for them. As an entrepreneur who has run successful businesses, I can relate to my client’s desire to maximise their most prized assets.
And as a real estate agent, I know that my clients need a trusted advisor who will guide them with integrity and honesty through their real estate journey. And that is my promise to them.
