About Maxine Piekarski - Real Estate Agent

Maxine has lived a life where property and real estate are in her core, while servicing and managing ‘people’ is part of her make-up. Maxine began her career in real estate in 1995, at the time you needed to have a second home phone number for the after hours’ calls you’d get from advertising homes for sale.

She has worked with many of the greats of the City of Glen Eira and City of Stonnington over the years, and comes to Besser and Co with an exceptional understanding of real estate sales and property development, while also coupled with business management to assist the directors with risk and compliance, staff management, teaching skills and creating new systems that make a company more productive, structured and streamlined. She loves how Besser and Co have embraced technology and are essentially one of the first real estate offices to go virtually ‘paperless.’

Maxine is an amazing support for Dion and the team, stepping in to do open for inspections when needed, but more importantly, working the engine of the real estate office. Transitioning from being a service person to buyers to managing real estate professionals, for Maxine, is both rewarding and comforting to know that she’s still making a difference in people’s lives.

Maxine is mum to two teens and an adult daughter. She actively gets involved with their football commitments. She loves to go on a bike ride, she enjoys spending time in her home office that is filled with vintage games, toys and artefacts; she enjoys a spot of gardening, reading the newspaper or a good book, and has become a gourmet cook since Covid reignited her love for creating authentic Jewish and European dishes. Best of all, Maxine is a great storyteller.
